This is from sme-bpm@redhat.com list discussion "Building custom images with driver extensions"

The request is to rollback and support the way of creating custom images with oracle drivers to something that is more comprehensible to OCP admins and OCP Native.

      The reasoning:
The change to use cekit/Makefiles in https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHPAM-1558
has created a method too complex to be followed by OCP Admins.

      The request is then to
      a) Create the custom images in an as native as to OCP can be manner
      b) Create an automation for it. I liked the previously supplied scripts & Dockerfile based build and will start with this in order for it to be as little manual as possible.

A first attempt can be found here where updates to the original scripts to have a couple extra capabilities (eg. define the namespace to create the kie-server+DRIVER image as well as delete previous BuildConfig if we want to re-run the script to go from 7.6.0 to 7.7.0) can be found at: https://github.com/skoussou/ocp_pam_app_dev/tree/master/resources/rhpam-7.x-generic-openshift-image-building
