Description of problem:

Changes need to be committed locally before you can push changes to remote repository otherwise changes do not get pushed.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Have a remote repository configured
2. File -> save all changes
3. Click git -> simple staging
4. Click git -> push to remote

Actual results:

The new changes are not pushed to the remote repository.

Expected results:

Changes should be pushed to remote repository.
