      1. Proposed title of this feature request

Support for additional storage capabilities in SNO RAN RDS

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Telco partners consider storage capabilities to be part of the core platform considered within the CaaS budget included in the Telco 5G RAN RDS on SNO.

The default RDS storage option on SNO is Local Storage Operator (LSO). LSO is missing capabilities required by Telco partners, namely dynamic storage provisioning and persistent volume snapshotting.

In order to have these additional capabilities today, Telco partners need to use the LVM Storage (LVMS) Operator, which is not included as part of the core platform CaaS budget and therefore needs to be run on the isolated (CNF workload) cores.

Telco partners would like to be able to have dynamic storage provisioning and persistent volume snapshotting capabilities included within the RDS CaaS budget and therefore consuming reserved cores.

If including these additional storage capabilities would require increasing the RDS CaaS budget, Telco partners would like to understand the impact to the RDS CaaS budget to enable them to assess the trade-offs between allocating storage capabilities to the reserved vs isolated core sets.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

Telco partners consider storage capabilities to be part of the core platform and having to run storage capabilities on the isolated/workload cores potentially reduces the resources available for their workloads.

      4. List any affected packages or components.
