We need to verify the exact format of the service URL that we use.

Once we release this is not easy to expand on without releasing a new GA release.

i.e.
What should the protocol be? remote, remoting, remoting-jmx, something else?
Should the channel be embedded in the URL? Mandatory or Optional - i.e. different MBeanServers exposed over Remoting could be backed by different channels.
