Make the "Who's Online" widget better in usability

The "Who's Online" widget is practically useless in its current form. It shows huge images taking up all the space even for a few users and there's no way to configure it to show just the user names. See the attached image for how it looks.

It would be better if the "Who's Online" widget would (by default) just show the user names in multiple rows with each row containing multiple user names. Just like what we had in JBoss Nukes.
