It should be possible to lookup in both registries at once. Eg lookup in OSGi registry first and the the spring registry as fallback.
Or if the OSGi registry already does this then that is fine. I am not aware how the OSGi registry works.

Anyway it should be transparent from the end users so all the existing spring xml files works as before.

A good idea is to ping gnodet first to get his view on this.
