The WSBA 1.1 CoordinatorCompletionParticipant wsdl specifies a Close soap action for the Compensate operation. This has propagated through to the WebMethod annotation attached to the generated client interface and thence to the server endpoint implementation class. In consequence when a Close request is recieved at the server end the latest WS implementation is routing the request to the service bean's compensate method.
