It is possible to move elements on canvas also "behind" the palette. It can cause problem if an element is too small and is not visible at all, because the palette covers the whole shape of this element. Therefore, it is not possible to move with that element. This currently applies only to the bend points on sequence flow.

Possible solution:
Enable to hide palette directly from Canvas.
