When a WSDL is updated in the bpelContent file, the BPEL Editor can reports many validation errors with associated receive or invoke activity. The only way to recover appears to be to delete the associated Variable and PartnerLink and re-create them.
The BPEL Editor should be enhanced to modify the existing partner links and variables when a WSDL is updated.
