Re-organization of the "common" component

This jira is here to track the jbosstools 4.0.0 reorganization of the 'common' component. As was discussed on the mailing lists, some plugins should be split, some merged, some deleted / deprecated, etc. This jira will act as the enclosing jira for several to-be-determined subtasks.
