    Description

      Badge icon (the dot on the bell icon in the upper right corner) is not displayed for new notifications. There seems to be extra class

      .badge:empty {
  display: none;
}

      As the element with the badge class is always empty, this class doesn't make sense, and the badge works as expected when the extra class is removed.
