manik: the log4j we ship in dist is set to TRACE - that kills performance !
Also you should set the default filename to infinispan.log instead of infinispan_test.log. Essentially look at all merge related commits on https://github.com/infinispan/infinispan/blame/master/core/src/test/resources/log4j.xml and consider reversing them.
