Improve the cross-language user experience

Improve the user experience for sharing primitive (string, int, float..) data (using compatibility mode; optional with protobuf?) across clients using Java/C++/C#.

Include the required protobuf bits in the C++/C# clients and make it as easy as possible to setup.
