Secret management guidance

Goal

As an SRE engineer, I want Red Hat to guide me on how to manage secrets when using the GitOps process enabled with kam so that I can ensure security and integrity of secrets (webhooks, private git repos, etc) in my GitOps-based continuous delivery process while being on a commercially supported path from Red Hat and its partners.

Problem

Customers frequently ask guidance on secret management and expect Red Hat to provide recommendations on what to choose and how to use it via kam.

Acceptance Criteria

• A guide exists that details various secret management solutions and their advantages and disadvantages
• The guide is applicable to customers who use Argo CD regardless of if they use kam
