At the moment Configuring AMQ Interconnect for AMQ Console does not mention configuration of the listener with saslMechanisms which defaults to ANONYMOUS.
As ANONYMOUS is not terribly secure for production deployments it is desired that other mechanisms be supported here as are already supported via qdstat and qdmanage:
[rkieley@ic1rh configuration]$ qdstat --help | grep sasl
--sasl-mechanisms=SASL-MECHANISMS
Allowed sasl mechanisms to be supplied during the sasl
--sasl-username=SASL-USERNAME
--sasl-password=SASL-PASSWORD
--sasl-password-file=SASL-PASSWORD-FILE
[rkieley@ic1rh configuration]$ qdmanage --help | grep sasl
--sasl-mechanisms=SASL-MECHANISMS
