      Specs: For the printed copies, the ad will appear on the back cover; the specs are as follows:

      • Trim: 6"x9"
      • Bleed: .125"
      • CMYK
      • Leave empty area for barcode: 1.75" x 1", bottom left, minimum .25" inset from trim
      • If using a rich black, inks should not exceed 240% total area coverage, recommended: c60/m40/y40/k100
      • Disable all overprinting
      • Submit PDF/X-1a, include bleeds and crop marks

      For the ebooks, the ad will appear in the front matter, right after the front cover and before the title page; the specs are as follows:

      You may either use the same ad as provided for the print back cover ad (for which O'Reilly will remove the crop marks and convert the colors), or submit an additional ad in accordance with the specs below:

      • Format: PDF
      • Trim: 6"x9"
      • Bleed: 0
      • RGB
      • No crop marks
      • Provide a tracking URL if you'd like (to track how many people click the ad from within the ebook)
