Describe the issue:

After a EUS-to-EUS upgrade from 4.10 to 4.12, all VM templates are marked as deprecated. Documentation is lacking in several ways:

• No warning about this on changed/deprecated features.
• There's no details about what exactly has to be changed to adapt the templates to the new format.
• There's no reference of what is the correct format.

Suggestions for improvement:

• Document the accepted template format.
• Document the template format changes from version to version.
• Warn in the changelog of the format deprecations.
