Guided decision tables

XMLWordPrintable

      A few issues with current status of this section of the manual
      https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_decision_manager/7.3/html/designing_a_decision_service_using_guided_decision_tables/next_steps

      it lacks a consistent "story": the description would flow better if there were a running example; instead, the chapters are disconnected. This was confusing to me at first, because I expected this to be a "how-to" style document, instead it is kind of a reference. For instance:

      • the first chapter describes how to create a Data Object;
      • later we're asked to create a decision table for Customers who can be Students, Seniors, etc. We're not given any hint on how these should be represented.
      • we're also told in a few places that there's a wizard for a given task at hand; but then the fields of this wizard are often described in the following section of the manual, where the non-wizard UI is presented

      this is similar in all the rest of the documentation, where we're often given the list of elements that are present in the UI without being told how and when to use them: again, it would be useful that these were discussed as part of an example.
