Investigate alternative data storage

We need to investigate what would a good alternative for persistent storage for the SimplePush Server. We are currently using a relational database for storing UserAgent information such as channels and updates. This will not be a viable solution moving forward if we want to support higher volumes.
This task should look into how and what data we need to store and see what solutions out there might fit our use case.
