Ruleset Editor - Formatting needs to be better applied to generated elements

From within the Ruleset Editor, when I add links, tags, quickfixes, etc, and then switch over to the source tab, I notice the formatting isn't being applied completely. Perhaps it would be best if whenever an item is edited to the ruleset editor GUI we should apply formatting the the parent element of the element that's being modified (i think currently we might be only formatting the element that being modified).
