Remove @Deprecated methods in API/SPI

    Description

      Revisit deprecated methods in API and SPI and remove them if possible.

      For instance ScheduledExecutorServiceFactory or ValidationServices are sure candidates.
      We should also look into core repository and remove any possible hacks we might have in place because of these methods.
