Extension Editor - changing the extended metaclass (w no properties) causes removal

Opened a workspace MED in the extension editor. The MED has one extended metaclass, with no properties defined. One error message is (correctly) displayed that no properties have been defined. On the 'properties' tab, click 'edit' to change the extended metaclass. When you select a different metaclass, the original is removed but is not replaced with the new selection.
