Description fields for UDF Model objects are limited to 128 characters

While setting descriptions for the SalesForce UDF functions, I received validation errors stating that: "Description exceeds maximum length of: 128"

The com.metamatrix.query.function.metadata.FunctionMetadataValidator class has a hard-coded limit of 128. Noone seems to know why??
