      Description

It is only possible to use java.util.Date instances in calendar component for now. Consider changes allowing to use java.util.Calendar for value & currentDate, preloadRange attributes either as special data model

why has this fix not been incorporated into version 3.1.2 already?

I REALLY hope this is fixed with 3.1.3 - otherwise the calendar is useless with enableManualInput="false"

        • see bug RF-997.
I don't understand why these two bugs were NOT treated independently in the first place?!

Alexei, please merge this carefully with 3.1.x and then resolve the bug to both versions (3.1.3 including)

The fix doesnt work with 3.1.3. Using java.util.Calendar throws a "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch" exception. Works fine with java.util.Date. This has been observed in Seam 2.0.1 GA which has RichFaces 3.1.3.
