        this removes a lot of unnecessary space produced by function where output is not set to false, so you dont have to do stuf like the following anymore

        <cffunction name="test"><!---
        --><cfargument name="a"><!--
        ---><cfargument name="b">

        or

        <cffunction name="test"><cfargument name="a"><cfargument name="b">
