Add social authentication support for REST based applications

I have a single page app based on angularjs and I provide REST based API services through a JEE web app with Picketlink IDM as a security provider.

I am trying to figure out how to enable the social login integration with picketlink idm but I find it difficult to achieve.

I have already seen Marek Posalda quickstart with google authentication support but it web page based.

It would be nice to have an Authenticator with the ability to process JAX-RS requests and start oAuth protocol with already provided social authenticators.
