Registering with a long password indicates that your username is in use

Using an 11-character password in the jboss.org registration process causes the system to report that your username is in use, even if it is not. An 8-character password lets you register successfully with the same username. I have not tried values in between.

I have verified this both when registering personal and work accounts.
