JBPAPP-5596 is a different issue although the symptoms do look similar, primarily because both end up blocking the TM.

In both cases the TM is blocked on AtomicAction however JBPAPP-5596 is caused by the lock acquisition in BaseWrapperManagedConnection.lock (a JCA class) whereas this issue is caused through a lock acquisition in com.webmethods.locks.BasicJMSLockManager.takeObjectWriteLock.
