Changes from transactions are not visible until restart

Using a Stateless Session Bean (SLSB) with Bean Managed Transactions (BMT) to create nodes (using multiple transactions) results in only the nodes created with the first transaction being visible; the nodes created in subsequent transactions are not visible until the server is restarted.
