Passing a negative timeout value to method <methodname>Thread.sleep</methodname> in class <classname>NewMsgsWorker#run()</classname> caused the <classname>Mail</classname> message-driven bean to stop checking for new messages. This has been fixed by not allowing a negative timeout value.
