Description
EJBs deployed in EARs are classified as an Embedded application types.
Embedded applications are managed via their parent. In other words, they cannot be deleted or updated and control operations do not apply to them. The management of these applications is done through the operations on the parent.
Whereas EJBs deployed in non-embedded application types (ie. in JARs) can be controlled (stopped/started etc.)
This is a request to make embedded EJBs controllable in the same way as non-embedded EJBs.
