      Description

      More and more customers are asking about an EAP 5 maven repository.

      This JIRA was created to track these questions, and to provide a place holder for the eventual creation of one (may not be done for EAP 5).

            With the change in jbossall-client.jar to just list dependent JARs and not contain any classes, the desire for this by customers has increased.

            Hi, about to work with the EAP version, I strongly support this FR. It would particularly help using the cargo maven plugin to deploy (w|e|j)ar into an EAP running instance. And this works out of the box with JBoss AS 6.x [community].

            I'm resolving this as this is an EAP 6 feature.

            Hi Jimmy,

            For the record, maybe you could:

            • add a relationship between this case and the one for EAP6 if it exists
            • add some links or information about where to find that EAP6 repository.

            I'm a RedHat/EAP customer myself and I was following this issue to be notified of this subject. I'd be glad to find information about it. And I'm sure people finding this issue would also find it valuable .

            Thanks a lot.

            @Baptiste MATHUS:

            Certainly.

            There is no single JIRA to link to, but EAP 6 has a downloadable maven repository available on the customer portal alongside the EAP distribution itself. You just unpack this repository on your local box.

            There is also a technical preview of a hosted maven repo located here:

            Great.

            Not sure to understand what the technical preview contains: can this be proxified for example by our internal nexus instance, or does it contain only a subset of what the downloadable version offers?

            Thanks.
