      Description

JBoss Central should have multiple 'launch' mechanisms:
      1) Default on Startup
      2) Default as part of the JBoss Perspective
      3) Help - JBoss Central
      4) JBoss Toolbar Icon (see screenshot)- that icon is always visible and the most likely place for someone to go whenever JBoss Central gets "lost"

also, the "Search the Community" field currently takes up too much real-estate, can it be pulled on to the same line as "JBoss Central"

The current JBoss icon does not seem to do anything for me at this moment, but one of the menu options can be "JBoss Central"

            > 1) Default on Startup

JBoss Central Editor is already shown on startup as well as when updating our usage and/or central plugin.

            > 2) Default as part of the JBoss Perspective

JBoss Central is an editor and can't be part of any perspective.

            > 3) Help - JBoss Central

This action has already been added.

            > 4) JBoss Toolbar Icon (see screenshot)- that icon is always visible and the most likely place for someone to go whenever JBoss Central gets "lost"

Max asked me to create a new jira for this action. See https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-9993

            > also, the "Search the Community" field currently takes up too much real-estate, can it be pulled on to the same line as "JBoss Central"

            Max already suggested that.

            ...
Max: can we get the search field into the headline so it doesnt take that much space?

Snjeza: That would invalidate all the toolbars in the headline. They all would have the same size (as the Search field). We could move the toolbars to the header line (http://www.eclipse.org/articles/article.php?file=Article-Forms33/index.html - form.setToolBarVerticalAlignment(SWT.BOTTOM)), but that wouldn't help.
You can see that STS contains two controls - search and STS link that are the same in size.

I will try to find a solution for this problem.

Great, I think we are on the same page - Are there other ways to "find" JBoss Central when it gets lost somewhere in Eclipse? Keep in mind that Eclipse is complicated enough that new end-users do lose windows often - that "reset back to installed defaults" trick is very important when views/editors/etc go missing.
