1.) create a jboss server runtime for jboss as7 2.) create a jboss server adapter (that uses this runtime definition) 3.) in the file explorer (finder, nautilus, cli, whatever): rename the folder of your server that was used for the runtime in step 1) 4.) start your server adapter 5.) the following error dialog pops up 6.) close the dialog (OK) and check the state of the server adapter: Result: it is still [Starting] Expected: it is stopped [Stopped] since it could not be started.
