1) go to preferences, select JBoss Tools Runtime Detection 2) Hit "Add" and select a path 3) the tooling then starts to scan your path an tries to detect a runtime 4) hit "Cancel" 5) wait until it cancel the running scan/detection Result: You have to wait up to 7 secs on my machine (i7 dualcore) until the scan stops Expected: The scan should be stopped either immediately or at most 1,2 seconds later
