      Description

If you create a new cloud connection you have to indicate an URL to the deltacloud server. The current implementation needs you to add http:// in front of this url. This shouldn't be necessary since the deltacloud server offers a REST server wich is basically only accessible by http

Maintenance usually gets the simplest patches with as few changes as possible, while Trunk can be more free-wheeling.

Whether we use the full fix in maintenance or ONLY branch, either way we must be careful to watch the migration path from old users to new users. The reason we typically make only small clean patches in maintenance is so that we have more time to study the migration path to trunk.

Typically making big changes to maintenance is discouraged because you have less time to find any bugs that might crop up from the big changes, and since only safe changes are assumed to go into branch, testing is usually slightly less thorough (IMO).

I've looked through the patch again and it looks pretty safe, so I'll give it the go-ahead for maintenance...

            +1 go ahead

When I type "localhost:3001" when creating new connection, dialog is still saying UNKNOWN, but when I type "http://localhost:3001" it detects deltacloud properly. Tested on v0.0.1.v20110503-1752-H179-M1

started working on it (committed changes to BRANCH and TRUNK), did not come to viable solution so moving issue to 3.3.x and 3.2.x since this is not a critical issue.
