For some reason, when using a secured app via browsersim, I am getting prompted via a typical browser user/password dialog - that won't even take my creds anyway. The workaround is to cancel the dialog and refresh the page.

This often happens right after I use "sign up" and register a new user and then that new user immediately tries to "sign in"
