      An alternative can be annotated with Priority.

      @Alternative @Priority(APPLICATION+100)
public class MockAsynchronousService extends AsynchronousService {
...
}

      That makes it enabled without declaring it in beans.xml.
      Value of Priority is used to resolve ambiguous dependencies.
