Build BOM uses project.version

The build configuration sets the infinispan.version to the project.version variable

This basically means no one can use the Infinispan build pom as a parent because it will force all Infinispan modules to be the same version as the original project.

This should probably be pulled in from a different variable or hard coded and updated via script.
