messages disappear too fast. need a message center

When a message appears in the UI (like a red error message or a green informational message), you have to read it really fast or you miss it because it disappears. This is worse when multiple messages are stacked.

We need a "message center" view where messages are stored so you can read them if you miss them in the pop ups.

From the top-right where the user name is, there is a menu drop down. In there we should have a "Message Center" option. Click that and up pops a very simple dialog box with two columns - "Date" and "Message" where "Date" is when the message appeared. There should be buttons to do things like "Clear All Messages" and "Delete" selected messages. But frankly, if all we have is a simple two-column table with no buttons but just a list of previously shown messages, that would go a long way.
