cannot build hawkular dist because srcdep plugin fails

I'm trying to build hawkular, and it fails during the srcdep build. If I edit my .gitconfig and take out the auto rebase flag (that is, if I remove this: [branch] autosetuprebase = always) the build is successful.

We should change the srcdep plugin so it uses its own .gitconfig to avoid forcing developers to change their own configuration.

For the record, the kinds of errors I got was this:
