    Description

It might be nice if we could specify the units being used for the y axis and then automatically re-adjust the y axis units based on the values being returned.

For instance, lets say the y-axis is dealing with bytes. It would be nice if we could automatically switch from bytes to kb or mb or gb or tb based on the size of data being graphed.

The same thing goes for things like time. The units are not relatable when you are seeing things like 10,000,000 nanoseconds in the y-axis.

Its not about the metric itself using the wrong type of scale for its units. For something like network traffic, it could be that if I am looking at the metrics over a day it should be in the gb scale, but if I am looking at the network traffic between 4:00AM and 4:05AM then it should be in the mb scale instead.

Each person using a chart like this could pre-process the data before it goes into the chart, but it might be nice to be able to do this in the chart itself. It would cut down on duplication of effort and also give a better overall experience when using charts.
