Deploy to a local fabric failed because of missing ~/.m2/settings.xml

I did the following:

1. Created a new Fuse Project based on camel-archetype-spring
2. Created a new profile based on example-camel
3. RIght-clicked on the project and selected Deploy to... and then the profile I created.

Then I got the following in the console window.

[ERROR] Error executing Maven.
[ERROR] The specified user settings file does not exist: /Users/kearls/.m2/settings.xml
