Ability to patch EAP 7 without reinstalling EAP

Fuse 6.3 allowed users to apply patches to EAP versions without reinstalling the underlying container. It seems in Fuse 7, we require users to re-install everything., i.e:

1.2. Migration Path for Fuse 7.2 on EAP
There is no automated migration path to Fuse 7.2 on EAP from a previous version of Fuse on EAP. To migrate to Fuse 7.2 you will need to make a new installation of Fuse 7.2 on JBoss EAP. After a successful installation, any existing deployments will need to be re-deployed to the new system.

We should look into alternatives to facilitate this migration path for customers
