Default click and drag behavior does not follow conventional wisdom

In almost all UIs that allow clicking on and object and dragging it the default behavior is that the clicked upon object moves. In the route editor the default behavior is to drag a connector. This is confusing and often annoying. If a user wants to simply move things around on the pallet to make space, or just make the picture easier to read, remembering to select the arrow pointer is unintuitive and likely to cause frustration since they will more likely want to move things than connect things.
