    Description

      Upgrade to Kafka 0.10, and incorporate new features of Kafka Connect. These include:

      • The ability to pause/unpause connectors (should be transparent to connectors)
      • Connectors' Debezium-specific configuration classes should be replaced with the new ConfigDef class and the new Validator and Recommender interfaces. The connector's new config() abstract method returns a ConfigDef instance.
      • Connector classes now require a version() method.
      • Task classes now require a version() method that normally returns the same value returned by the connector implementation that created it.

      Other changes may be required as well, though they are unknown at this point. The Kafka 0.10 breaking changes document does not even mention anything about Kafka Connect breaking changes, let alone those listed above.
