A killed HostController will have lost the secrets known by the AS instances.

The host controller generates a random password for the AS instances it starts and this is used the verify the server when it connects back to it's host controller.

However as identified by the RespawnTestCase if the HostController dies it will loose this list so will not be possible to re-establish the connections with the individual AS instances as authentication will fail.
