Openshift "snapshot" not working

The issue seems that "control" which is in "$HOME/aerogear-push/bin" is not in the PATH, so it cannot run "control pre-snapshot" and "control post-snapshot"

Moreover, I really need to do a snapshot of my app in order to change the size of the gear ( small -> medium, the small gear kept crashing and crashing last weeks after months of good services with no issue ), so with snapshot not working, I've dumped the database (to keep the keys) and tried to restore it in another gear, but it would not be enough.

Would doing what is done in "control pre-snapshot" on small gear, then copying the file to new medium gear, then will doing a "control post-restore" be enough ?
